Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

Paladins who swear the Oath of the Undead Destroyer, also called the Second Circle, are champions against the forces of undeath and corruption. Bearing the symbol of the Destroyer's Cross, these holy warriors dedicate themselves to purging the world of necromancy and guiding lost souls to rest.

### Tenets of the Second Circle

- **Defy the Necrotic.** Stand against the forces of undeath and the twisted practitioners of necromancy.
- **Protect the Living.** Shield the innocent and safeguard them from the influence of undead.
- **Cleanse the Taint.** Purge the world of the unholy undead, ensuring their souls find rest.
- **Uphold the Light.** Embrace the radiant power of the divine to combat darkness and corruption.

Level 3: Channel Divinity: Destroyer's Cross

As a bonus action, you can transform your holy symbol into the Destroyer’s Cross — a three-foot-tall crucifix forged from iron, created to destroy the undead.

The Destroyer’s Cross has the statistics of a *Maul*, and can be used as a holy symbol. Once per turn when you hit a creature with it, you deal an additional 1d6 radiant damage, or 2d6 against undead.

You can use your Charisma modifier for attack and damage rolls with the Destroyer’s Cross, instead of Strength.

The weapon lasts for 1 hour or until you are incapacitated. It disappears at the end of that time, or if you dismiss it early as a bonus action.

Level 7: Aura of Purification

Starting at 7th level, you and friendly creatures within 10 feet of you are bathed in radiant energy that purges the influence of undeath.

- You and friendly creatures within the aura gain advantage on Death Saving Throws.
- You and friendly creatures have advantage on saving throws against effects created by undead creatures or from spells from the necromancy school.
- Undead creatures within your aura have disadvantage on saving throws against your spells and Channel Divinity effects.

At 18th level, the radius of this aura increases to 30 feet.

Level 15: Radiant Resurgence

Beginning at 15th level, you can draw upon the divine light within you to restore your life force and repel death.

When you are reduced to 0 hit points, you can immediately expend points from your Lay on Hands pool to restore that number of hit points to yourself, without requiring an action. This occurs instantly, before you would fall unconscious.

You also gain resistance to necrotic damage.

Additionally, you cannot be transformed into an undead creature by any means.

Level 20: Undying Champion

At 20th level, you become an unstoppable force against undead creatures and those who command them. You gain the following benefits:

- Your weapon attacks against undead creatures are considered critical hits on a roll of 19 or 20.
- Whenever you deal radiant damage to an undead creature, it takes additional radiant damage equal to your Charisma modifier.
- You are immune to necrotic damage, poison damage, and the poisoned condition.
- You are immune to disease.
- You cannot be transformed into an undead creature by any means.
- You add your Charisma modifier as a bonus on saving throws against spells and magical effects cast by undead creatures or spells from the necromancy school.

Additionally, your Destroyer's Cross scores a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20 against undead creatures and necromancers.

Once you use this feature, you must finish a long rest before using it again.

Channel Divinity: Undying Radiance

As an action, you unleash a radiant burst of divine energy to strike fear into the hearts of undead.

Each undead creature of your choice within 30 feet of you must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the creature is frightened for 1 minute or until it takes any damage. Undead have disadvantage on this saving throw.

While frightened in this way, the creature takes radiant damage equal to your Charisma modifier at the start of each of its turns.

The creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on a success.
