Base Class: Artificer
Food and drink are necessities in any world, and thus the powers of science and magic may inevitably find their way into enhancing them. Whether in the kitchen, at the plow, or serving a royal court, culinarian artificers excel at keeping the people feed and happy.
As such an odd specialization, many other artificers scoff at the notion that food making is part of their craft, only they must not realize their own food is brought to them by those they mock. Despite their unique choice of craft, a culinarian is an exceptionally useful artificer. By enhancing the food they cook, they can give allies incredibly long-lasting buffs. They have even been known to use their utensils, and even the food they cook, as weapons.
Tool Proficiency
When you adopt this specialization at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with Cook's Utensils. If you already have proficiency with them, you gain proficiency with one other type of artisan tool of your choice.
Culinarin Spells
Starting at 3rd level, you always have certain spells prepared after you reach particular levels in this class, as shown in the Culinarian Spells table. These spells count as artificer spells for you, but they don’t count against the number of artificer spells you prepare.

Magical Ingredients
At 3rd level, you learn how to enhance your cooking with magic. During a short or long rest, you can use cook's utensils to prepare a meal for a number of creatures equal to or less than your Intelligence modifier + your proficiency bonus, provided you have enough food and the proper facilities to cook. This meal grants those that consume it magical benefits, as chosen from the list below. The benefit may be chosen at random by rolling a d4. If a creature under the effects of this feature eats another meal from this feature, the effects of the oldest meal end immediately.

Chef's Arsenal
Stating at 5th level, you are considered proficient with all cooking implements and food items whenever you make an attack roll with one. When you do so, you may use a bonus action to make another attack with the same item or another cooking implement or piece of food. Attacks made this way deal 1d4 damage of an appropriate type if it would not deal more.
If the item was created with an effect from your Magical Ingredients feature, it deals a special type of damage as detailed in the description of the feature.
Enhanced Cooking
Starting at 9th level, all food you create is enhanced with magical deliciousness:
- All food items you create with your cook's utensils now deal magical damage when used in an attack.
- Whenever a creature within 60 feet of you consumes a food item you created, you may expend a spell slot of 1st level or higher and attempt to charm it. That creature must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or be charmed by you for 10 minutes per level of the spell slot you expended. On a fail, the target believes the food it ate is the best of its kind and seeks to praise the chef. After this effect ends, it is unaware that it was charmed. If it succeeded on the save, it is unaware you attempted to charm it.
- You gain the following options for your Magical Ingredients feature:
Magical Ingredients
Ingredients Effect 5- Mighty

To determine the effect randomly, you may use a d6.
Cooking Master
At 15th level, you become a master chef, capable of whipping up a dish in a matter of seconds:
- As an action, you may expend a spell slot to immediately create a number of Tiny-sized food items equal to the level of the spell slot expended within 60 feet of you. Each item may have a randomly determined Magical Ingredients effect or none at all. If the item is to appear above a creature, it must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or take 1d4 damage of an appropriate type.
- You gain the following options for your Magical Ingredients feature:

To determine the effect randomly, you may use a d8.

Posted Sep 24, 2020At the end of the first paragraph in Chef's Arsenel, it says the attack will deal at least 1d4 damage, but if the weapon is a frying pan or a durian, the DM is allowed to increase the damage.

Posted Sep 20, 2020I love the subclass, but a few things aren’t explained. How much damage does the food do on melee hit? Is it like a related weapon, such as a club for a Drumstick, or is it just the Improvised weapon damage?
