I was just looking over this in an other thread and I figured I'd post this in a new thread as well.
In my opinion the best way to handle taking class features from multiple subclasses within your class is to simply keep leveling the class but delay learning the next sublass feature of your current subclass in favor of the first subclass feature of the new subclass (and then the next for the second one).
So let's say a Totem Warrior (Barbarian) reaches lvl 10 and wants to Multi-Sub(coining this term) into Berserker (Barbarian), he would then have the following subclass features:
Aspect of the Beast (Level 6 Barbarian [Totem Warrior 6])
Frenzy (Level 10 Barbarian [Berserker 3])
At level 14 Barbarian he could then learn: Spirit Walker [Totem Warrior 10], Mindless Rage [Berserker 6] or Multi-Sub into a different level 3 subclass feature (eg: Form of the Beast [Beast 3].
As far as I can see all classes have their subclass features on the same levels:

This sort of thing normally goes in the Homebrew forum.
The post I found and replied to was also in this one, but maybe the moderators can move it ;-)
