I've got some in-depth falling rules I'm refining for my games, which allow you to drop or tumble, and rely on acrobatics or constitution to reduce the damage you take from the fall depending on how you land.
I am definitely adopting your rules for healing potions, I like that approach and it makes it more of a decision!
Lycanthropy I am adapting to make it more difficult to decide whether to cure it or not. Players lose all agency when they are a were-thing, and it only happens on a full moon, but there is another twist - if also happens if they fail 2 death saves, and the beast comes out with some HP (yet to decide how much) and goes on a rampage to feed & heal. So they can cheat death, to a large extent, but it will cause problems for the world they're in! The were-beast always flees the fight, so it's never helpful to the party for a were-thing to appear!
Someone suggested that the players can gain inspiration by telling a story around the campfire, which I am definitely using as it will help with world building!
Ammo is simply assumed to be recovered, except for natural 1's and naturals 20's to hit - these are assumed lost or broken. This stops every post-battle cleanup involving the phrase "I gather my arrows again". Thus far it's not come up, as everyone is punching. The monk punches, the oose punches, the artificer uses a thunder-gauntlet and punches.
I know I have other house rules, but I can't place them right now!
