Descriptions: The curse or blessing of vampirism, become a creature of the night with the shadows at your beck and call. A true beast among men, but these abilities are not free, everything has a cost. You must forsake the light of the sun and mortal sustenance, you become a one of the immortal undead and thus your only sustenance is the blood of humanoids. You are weaker or could even burn in the sunlight if not careful. The path of the immortal is a long but rewarding one.
Abilities: Vampires can mesmerize or even enthrall their targets, turn into mist and bats, turn invisible and control the weak minded.
Resistances and Weaknesses: Vampires are undead and have an immunity to diseases, poison, Resistant to necrotic damage and the cold but are very weak of fire and radiant damage. Vampires also cannot use their abilities while standing in running water. Silver and wooden stakes are also a weakness to vampires. If a vampire sees a silver holy symbol, then they will be stunned for one round if they fail their saving throw. If they succeed, then they will fail all concentration rolls. (Con save of 15), if they are stabbed with a stake through the heart then they will die regardless of death save throws and turn to ashes upon death.
Blood Consumption: A vampire needs blood to survive. A fully fed vampire is completely resistant to the sun but a starved vampire will burn (1d6 per round unless in shade or fully covered) and have a disadvantage to all dice rolls while in the harsh rays of the sun. It takes four days to be fully starved, while you will not die you will be in constant pain and will shake slightly. Your skin is corpse-like in color and your face is sunken with your fangs fully extended and visible if you talk. The whites of your eyes are bloodshot and your ice cold to the touch. You must resist the urge to drink every time someone bleeds. You must succeed in a DC 13 wisdom save, if you fail then you unknowingly start feeding from the source of blood you smell. You can feed on any creature that only has the humanoid creature type. As for food, you can eat and drink but it will have no taste and does nothing to sate your hunger or thirst.
Lifestyle/Reputation: As a creature of the night and part of the immortal undead you have to keep your true nature hidden from the masses. Like a wolf among sheep, if you kill or feed from too many people in too short of a time people will start to hunt vampires. More specifically, they will hunt you. You’re tied to the darkness; you must keep your skin from the sunlight if you have not fed in over four days. You cannot enter holy places or enter residences without being invited or risk withering into dust. Some Paladins and Clerics will know of your curse, be wary of them for they might try and expose your true nature or if they serve certain gods, attempt to kill you. Vampires also tend to align to evil and chaotic natures. But some vampires have been known to overcome their innate evil to reach an alignment of neutral.
Natural Enemies: Werewolves and vampires are natural enemies; werewolves think vampires are "snobbish leeches" while the vampire thinks werewolves are "brutish mongrels". Werewolves and vampires will often fight and can usually tell when someone is a werewolf or vampire.
