You’ve developed a skill for delivering a death blow, either as a mercy killing or a merciless execution. As an action you may use a melee or ranged weapon to deliver a coup de grace to an incapacitated or restrained creature within 5 feet of you.
Your coup de grace is a special attack that automatically hits and scores a critical hit, as if you had rolled a 20 on a d20 for an attack. The target dies if this attack reduces it to 0 hit points. If the target is not reduced to 0 hit points it must succeed a Constitution saving throw with a DC of 10 or half the damage taken, whichever number is higher, or die. A creature that fails the saving throw does not die if it has legendary actions, is immune to the damage of the weapon used, or still has half it’s hit points remaining. A target of the coup de grace also dies if it is making death saving throws.
Delivering a coup de grace allows creatures, that you are within reach of, to use their reaction to make a melee weapon attack against you. When you deliver a coup de grace your speed is reduced to 0 feet until the start of your next turn and you may not use a bonus action on the turn you deliver the coup de grace.
