Prerequisite: Requires the character to be a Demon Slayer capable of utilizing Breathing Styles.
Moon Breathing is a Breathing Style that mimics the moon and replicates it with the user's movements, techniques and abilities. Most, if not all, known techniques and forms are standard yet varied swordsmanship techniques that focus on swift and powerful strikes that always follow the shape and pattern of a crescent moon. This style has 16 known forms, and you can one of these forms a number of times equal to your proficiency modifier + Constitution modifier (combined, not individual). Additionally, you must be wielding a Katana to use this Breathing Style.
- First Form: Dark Moon, Evening Palace - You must have a sheathed Katana to use this form. As an action, you quickly draw your sword and slash swiftly in a singular horizontal motion in a crescent shape, creating three chaotic crescent blades. Make an attack roll; each blade deals 1d6 Radiant damage.
- Second Form: Pearl Flower Moongazing - As a reaction when you would be hit by an attack, you perform several crescent-shaped slashes that defend you from incoming attacks, sending a barrage of crescent blades. You gain +2 AC to the triggering attack.
- Third Form: Loathsome Moon, Chains - As an action, you swing your sword rapidly in two gigantic crescent slashes, from which a storm of smaller crescents spread, causing huge destruction in a small area. In a 10 foot radius, each creature must make a Dexterity Saving throw (DC of 10 + Con + Prof). On a fail, they take 1d10 slashing and 1d4 radiant, or half on a success.
- Fourth Form: Moon Spirit Calamitous Eddy - As an action, you make multiple curved slashes layered over one another, creating a rising vortex of sword slashes and crescent moon blades. Within a 10 foot radius centered around the casting point, you act as if you were under the effects of the Fly spell. This last for 30 seconds.
- Fifth Form: Perpetual Night, Lonely Moon Incessant - Using an action and your bonus action, you release a wild barrage of crescent-shaped slashes several meters in front of you. Make an attack roll; in a 15 foot cone, each creature that's hit takes 2d8 Slashing and 2d4 Radiant damage.
- Sixth Form: Mirror of Misfortune, Moonlit - You swing the gigantic version of your sword in a powerful frontal crescent-shaped slash that creates powerful multi-directional long-ranged slashes in the ground. As an action, make a melee attack with your held weapon. The reach extends by 10 feet, and each creature within this range may be hit. On a hit, your weapon deals its normal damage with an additional 1d8 Radiant. Any creature hit by this attack is knocked back 10 feet.
- Seventh Form: Moon-Dragon Ringtail - You use the gigantic version of your sword and create a singular gigantic crescent-shaped slash that slowly decreases in size, creating dozens of crescent moon blades. As an action, make an attack roll. On a hit, creatures within a 5 ft cone in the direction you're facing take 1d10 Radiant damage, and creatures 5 feet out from that take 2d4 Radiant damage.
- Eight Form: Waning Moonswaths - You create a stream of long-ranged crescent-shaped vertical and horizontal slashes along with numerous crescent moon blades with the gigantic version of your sword. As an action, make a ranged attack against a single target. On a hit, the target takes 4d6 Radiant damage, or none on a miss.
- Ninth Form: Drilling Slashes, Moon Through Bamboo Leaves - As an action, you create a long-ranged triple-layered slash twister full of crescent moon blades with the gigantic version of your sword. Choose a point within 60 feet of you. Centered on that point, all creatures, except you, within a 15 foot radius act as if they are under the effects of the Fly spell. This lasts for 30 seconds.
- Tenth Form: Catastrophe, Tenman Crescent Moon - You use the gigantic version of your sword and creates a chaotic vortex of powerful extremely long-ranged omni-directional slashes that destroys whatever is caught up within its attack radius. As an action, you create a vortex with a radius of 10 feet located within 60 feet of you. Any creature that starts or ends their turn within the radius takes 4d8 Slashing and 4d8 Radiant damage, and must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a fail, they are knocked prone, on a success they are not. Additionally, as a bonus action, you may move the vortex to a different point within 60 feet of you. This lasts for 18 seconds, and requires concentration.
- Eleventh Form: Moonbow, Half Moon - You create a barrage of downward crescent slashes from an extremely long and wide range, resulting in a powerful six-fold slash crashing down on your opponents; the attack itself is powerful enough to create several miniature craters where the slashes have landed. If you use this form, it is the only thing you may do on your turn, and you fall unconscious for 1d6 + 1 days. Every creature within a 40 foot cone in a direction of your choice must make a Dexterity saving throw. They take 10d6 Slashing and 10d6 Radiant damage. Due to the wear that this move puts on your body, in addition to the previous consequences, your hit point maximum is lowered by the number of creatures killed x3. Your hp maximum can only be restored via the Greater Restoration, or some similar method as detailed by the DM.
