Bonds of the Battle Brother

he bond you have forged with your ally imbues you with tremendous power. When you take this feat, pick a creature you share a strong bond with, and you gain the following abilities:

•You have a spiritual connection to the bonded ally: you and your bonded ally know the exact location of each other, so long as you are both on the same plane of existence. If not, then you are able to know if the other is still alive. 

•When you are within 5ft of the bonded ally, and are not incapacitated or unconscious: if an attack that you can see is made, you can use your reaction to make yourself the target instead, as well as granting your ally resistance to magical and nonmagical damage, until the start of your next turn.  

•As long as you are not unconscious, you both have advantage against being charmed, or frightened.

•If subjected to a charmed effect, and made to take action against the other: Both creatures have disadvantage on attack/spell attack rolls, against each other

•If you willingly betray the selected ally, remove the feat, this creature is no longer able to take this feat again. In addition, the selected ally immediately becomes hostile to you, and sees you as an enemy.

If your selected ally dies, you must wait 1d4 weeks until you are able to select a new one to bond with.
