You have learned the summoning power of the mightiest members of the triton race. You are able to call forth sea creatures to do your bidding and fight alongside you in battle. If you can see any sea creatures of limited power you may command them. Otherwise, the availability of sea creatures will depend upon campaign circumstances as determined by the DM. The power has the following features:
You may summer 1d4 creatures for up to 10 minutes. The summoning takes one action. The creatures must have a Challenge Rating of 1 or less and they must have a swim speed. Any creature with a swim speed, no matter how likely to be hostile, may be summoned. The summoned creatures will regard the triton as a friend and will fight if instructed to do so. The triton may use their Emissary of the Sea power to communicate with any summoned creature.
If the triton can see the creatures to be summoned they will immediately move toward the triton and be open to communication. If the triton summons creatures they cannot see, the creatures, determined by the campaign setting, will arrive in 1d10 turns or 1 minute if the summoning happens outside of combat. The creatures to be summoned must be present in the campaign setting within a one mile radius and must have the means to travel to the area where the triton is. If no creatures with a swim speed are available, or they cannot reach the triton, the summoning will have no effect. The summoning power does work in fresh water as well as salt water. This can include rivers and subterranean lakes as long as they contain creatures with a swim speed.
