
You form lasting relationships wherever you go. In any location you've been to previously (in actual play or backstory), once per long rest, you may announce the existence of a prior acquaintance with a +5 modifier to one skill, tool proficiency or language proficiency of your choice. Unless the acquaintance's precise location is established (e.g., a permanent shop, a guard barracks, a wizards' college), you must succeed on a DC 10 Intelligence (Investigation) check to find the acquaintance. When you encounter the acquaintance, make a DC 15 Charisma check. On a success, the acquaintance is friendly and happy to help. On a failure, the acquaintance is indifferent and requires payment. On a failure of 5 or more, the acquaintance is hostile, and you must make amends.
