You are permanently blinded by a powerful curse or magical contract. Healing magic will not remove this effect without the use of a Wish spell or Divine Intervention or the completion of your portion of the agreement if there is even an option to remove the effect.
You gain the following effects
-Blinded
-All perception checks based on sight fail automatically
-An enemies first attack has advantage against you unless they have been pointed out to you or announced themselves in some way such as attacking a nearby ally or being attacked by a nearby ally. Once you aware of an enemy you are no longer surprised by their attacks.
-Blindsight 10 feet
-Spells that affect sight do not affect you such as blindness or silent image
-Optionally you can choose to gain advantage on sound based perception checks but will become weak to thunder damage
-Spells that allow you to view another creatures senses still function correctly
