You have formed a deal or bond with the spirit of the Amulet of Unknown Power, and thus now know their name is Kar-an, Dark Keeper of Secrets. As such you may now understand abyssal, infernal, and one other language of your choice, which you can change each day at dawn. Additionally, you gain an advantage on Deception, Persuasion, Insight, and History Checks. The final gift is unlocking its full power, as the black gem now grants you a plus 1 to three ability scores of your choosing. Finally, you also gain the spells Detect Thoughts, Detect Magic, Comprehend Languages, Identify, and Zone of Truth.
