Through some circumstances, you've gained the ability to commune with the undead.

When you create undead, they have vague communication abilities, speaking in fairly simple sentences (though sentence structure and eloquence will vary from one to the next) and has both a personality and opinions. It speaks all languages it spoke in life, but you always understand what it says as if it were speaking in your native language. The personality is decided by the DM, and is usually similar to the creature's personality in life. The undead will refer to you as boss or something similar by default, although you can order a different or no title. Usual rules of control still apply.

Undead raised in any other way retain the usual lack of speech to others, however you can interpret the usual moans and groans as sentences in your native language. The undead will have the personality and speech rules above, however it will refer to whatever raised it as it's boss. You can try to convince or trick the undead into changing it's course of action, however Persuasion checks against the undead will have disadvantage.

Undead will usually care some level of fondness for those who raised them (think the way domination works on Uruks in the Shadow of Morder games. Personality remains but allegiance changes.)

As always, check with your DM before taking this feat. It fundamentally shifts the nature of undead in the game world, and therefore is particularly important to discuss with your DM.
