Prerequisite: Level 4, Witch Feat, has the Spellcasting or Pact Magic feature
You have focused your study into the magical art of hexes. You gain the following benefits:
- You learn the hex spell and can cast this spell without a spell slot and you must finish a long rest before you can cast it in this way again. You can also cast the spell using any spell slots you have.
- When you cast the hex spell, you can choose one of the following additional effects to apply to the spell:
- Sorcery. When you cast this spell, the target must succeed a Wisdom saving throw or be charmed by you for 1 minute. A creature can repeat this saving throw at the end of each of its turns, or when it takes damage, ending the effect on a success.
- Suffering. When you roll a 1 or 2 on your hex damage die, you can reroll the die and must use the new roll, even if the new roll is a 1 or a 2.
- Slowing. The target of your hex spell has their movement speed reduced by 5 feet.
- Stolid. When you cast this spell, the duration is reduced to 1 minute or when the target drops to 0 hit points, but does not require concentration. You cannot use metamagic options when you apply this effect, and once you have used this effect, you cannot do so again until the next dusk.
You can place an additional effect on your hex spell a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus and regain all expended uses at the end of a long rest.
