Your experience in battle has augmented your ability to recall tactical information. By writing down information about enemies before the rest following a battle, you are able to remember a number of facts about the enemy (resistances, features, etc) equal to your INT modifier.

You can also determine half that amount, rounded down, during combat by using your bonus action. You can use this feature three times per long rest.
