Greater Countercharm Image
Prerequisite: At least 6 levels in Bard

  • Gain a +1 to an ability score of your choice, to a maximum of 20.
  • Gain the ability to let characters re-attempt a saving throw against a charming effect while performing Countercharm. While using the bard's Countercharm action, you may expend a single charge of your Bardic Inspiration to allow a single creature within 30 feet (they must be able to hear you) to reroll a previously-failed roll against an effect of your choice that is making them charmed. You do not need to know the specifics of who or what is making them charmed, but you must then describe the charm effect you are trying to counter. If they succeed the new roll, they are no longer charmed by the targetted effect. If they fail, your charge of Bardic Inspiration is used but the charm effect remains. If the creature is not charmed in the way you describe, your charge of Bardic Inspiration is used and the target is not affected in any way.
