You have become an expert in restricting your foes' movements.
- You gain proficiency in athletics if you don't already have it.
- You can now grapple creature 2 sizes larger than you; however, you reduce its movement to half speed rather than 0.
- Moving while grappling a creature your size or smaller does not impose a penalty.
Additionally, choose between the following grapple styles:
Offensive:
- When you successfully grapple a creature, you may make a second Athletics check as part of the same attack. The creature is prone as well if it fails the skill contest.
- When you successfully start a grapple, you can deal 1d4 bludgeoning damage to the grappled creature. Until the grapple ends, you can also deal this damage to the creature whenever you hit it with a melee attack.
- When a hostile creature's movement provokes an opportunity attack from you, you can attempt to grapple the target, rather than making an opportunity attack.
Defensive:
- Attacks against you made by a creature grappled by you are made with a disadvantage.
- When you have a creature grappled, you can use your reaction to make an attack against you hit the grappled creature (must meet ac) on an opposed Athletics check. The attack cannot be by the grappled target.
- When a creature within your reach attempts to attack you and misses, you may use your reaction and attempt to grapple the creature.
