Exposing Jeer

You have learned how to time your insults to disrupt an enemy's attack and use their momentary distraction to your advantage. Whenever you can see an enemy make a melee attack roll against you, you may use your reaction to expend one of your Bardic Inspiration die and subtract 1d8 from their roll. You may choose to do this upon seeing the roll but before knowing the result. If the attack misses, you may make an attack roll against the creature, scoring a critical hit on a 19 or 20. This attack deals an extra 1d8 psychic damage.
