You don't need to forgo taking an Ability Score Improvement to take a feat of your choice, since you're such a ****in' nerd.
The moment you get this feat you can get an extra feat.
To activate this benefits you must go to a group of at least 100 people who can see you and hear you (IRL), then you scream from the top of your lungs: I'M A ****IN' NERD!!!. If someone happens to ask you why, you have to explain with as much details as possible what you gain by screamming in public and why you're a ******* nerd.
Note to DMs: Offer this feat to players that keep insisting they shouldn't need to sacrifice an ASI to get a feat.
