You have mastered the exotic art of trident fighting. While wielding a trident with which you are proficient, you gain the following benefits
- The trident’s damage die becomes 1d8 (versatile 1d10)
- You gain advantage on the disarm action while wielding a trident in one or both hands
- You can use your reaction to attempt to impale your target. Make an attack role. If the attack hits, the creature takes the damage it would normally take from your trident, +2. In addition, the target must make a strength saving throw (DC=8+prof. bonus+strength) or become incanpacitated as you hold the creature in place with your trident. The creature remains impaled until the start of your next turn, until you end the impale (no action required), or if you or the target takes damage from another source

Posted Sep 28, 2022I am well aware this may not be balanced, but that’s why I share it. I want there to be a better reason to use a trident over a spear other than looking like aqua man. Please feel free to give feedback
