Dire Focus Image

Your training has allowed you to, in the most dire moments, supremely focus one melee attack against an opponent that is nearly guaranteed to hit its mark. The more damage you have taken, the more dangerous this strike becomes.

Once per long rest, when you use this melee attack, you roll a d20 and succeed on any result higher than one without modifiers and ignoring any effect that would allow a reroll on a 1, such as the Halfling's Lucky trait or the Lucky feat. On a success, you add the amount of hit points that you are missing from your maximum (including temporary hit points) to your damage plus any modifiers to the damage.

Monks: A Monk can spend 5 ki points to double the amount of lost HP that is added to the damage, 10 to triple it, 15 to quadruple it, and 20 to add five times the lost HP to the damage roll. When a monk uses ki points to increase the damage, they must make a Constitution save equal to the amount of ki points used AFTER combat has concluded, and, if they fail, they gain one level of exhaustion.
