In the afterglow of your first feeding, it's easy to forget that you are dead. All too soon, you learn that it's just as easy to forget you were ever alive. You are a vampire now, and the mysteries of your Blood are only beginning to emerge into your darkened sight. You know some things, you feel new truths in your gums, at the base of your gut, and behind your eyes. Blood is life, and you need it. Something inside you slavers at the bars, and you don't know what side of them you're on. Light skies and bright eyes means danger. Go safely into that good night, Child of Darkness, and remember: a Beast I am, lest a Beast I become.
Sunlight Sensitivity: the light of the sun spells doom for vampires. If you start your turn in direct sunlight, you lose a number of hitpoints equal to your level, and your hitpoint maximum is reduced by the same amount.
Daysleep: Whatever dread power animates you flees your body as the sun crests the horizon, returning you to a state indistinguishable from death until nightfall. Should you wish to cling to this power, and remain awake during the day, make a constitution saving throw with DC equal to your level. On a success, you may remain awake for a number of hours equal to the margin of success. Succeed or fail, you always have disadvantage on ability checks, attack rolls, and saving throws while the sun is in the sky.
Heightened Senses: Your vision and darkvision increase by 30ft, and you gain proficiency in the perception skill.
Uncanny Reflexes: you have advantage on initiative rolls while you are conscious.
Regeneration: At the end of each of your turns, you regain a number of hitpoints equal to your constitution modifier. If you are in total darkness, such as a tomb, coffin, cellar, or other location sealed against light, you instead gain hitpoints equal to twice your constitution, and if your hitpoint maximum has been reduced, you return it to normal.
Blood Surge: you can cast Enhance Ability as a second level spell a number of times per day equal to your constitution modifier.
