You have dedicated yourself to the study of metalwork. You gain the following benefits:

• Increase your Strength or Wisdom by 1, to a maximum of 20.
• You gain proficiency with smith's tools, and you add double your proficiency bonus to checks you make with it.
• During a long rest, you may use smith's tools to temporarily improve either one set of medium or heavy armor (excluding hide armor) or one weapon that lacks the range property. Improving armor removes any disadvantage it gives on Dexterity (Stealth) checks for the next 16 hours. If the armor does not normally give the wearer disadvantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks, you instead grant it +1 AC for the next 16 hours. Improving a weapon allows you to grant it a +1 to attack rolls and give it the thrown (20/60) property for 16 hours. This feature cannot be used on armor that has a +2 or higher bonus to AC, or weapons that have a +2 or higher bonus to attack rolls.
