Posted May 15, 2019I have taken a little time to help make this feat a little more developed because I think it's a wonderful idea. However, it seems to leave a lot of questions on how to use it. You can copy and past the below section into a new revision if you like. I will also put in a few notes on why I made the changes I've made at the bottom.
You have learned how to fuse the elements into paper to do your will.
Notes: I felt that one day was too long of a time to make a charm. I also felt that there should be a limit to the amount of charms you can make and how long they last so you don't end up with a bunch of charms laying around. The charms needed damage types that are recognized by the mechanics of the game. The wall part needed a trigger for the reaction. I took out all the half damage because the charms are so versatile in their use.

Posted May 27, 2019I agree that the wall needs a Trigger, so any time you see a spell being cast, or an arrow being shot at you, being charged, ect ect,
I also agree you should use damage types that are recognized by the mechanics of the game, but also the effects of that type apply, Ex. cold slows you down.
I picked 1 per day because they need to be hard to make, you can have 100, 200, a whole book, and you can cast one as an action, bonus action, and reaction every turn.
but at the end of the day, if you are worried about having too many or too few just incorporate economics, buy, sell, and trade.

Posted May 30, 2019This is fantastic! Thanks, OP for the original idea, and thanks to Adaligogh for your work on refining it. I'll probably tweak it a bit for my own uses, but I'm definitely letting one of my characters play with this toy.
