Prerequisite: Strength 13 or higher.
You’ve developed the skills necessary to hold your own in close-quarters grappling. You gain the following benefits:
- If you have two free hands and arms when attempting a grappling check, you have advantage on the check and you count as proficient in athletics. If you already have proficiency in athletics, you count as having expertise in it.
- You know how to gain the upper hand in a grapple. A creature you are grappling does not gain advantage on Light, Unarmed and Bite attacks.
- You can use one of your attacks of the attack action to try a takedown on a creature grappled by you. To do so, make another grapple check. If you succeed, the creature takes 1d4+Your strength modifier bludgeoning damage, is knocked prone and is restrained until the grapple ends, and you are grappled until the grapple ends.
