You are blind from birth or long enough that you have developed ways around it, your other senses have greatly improved, and help you with your everyday ; you gain the following disabilities and benefits:
- You are blind and therefore automatically fail any ability check that requires sight.
- You have Blindsight in a 30 feet radius based on your heightened hearing and smelling abilities.
- You can, without using an action make a wisdom (Perception) check to determine by sound or smell the position of allies and enemies beyond the 30 feet radius (this perception check has a DC of 10 in normal circumstances and a range of 90 feet, the DM can lower or increase the range or the DC based on the environment and how loud it is)
-
You have advantage on wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing or smell.
-
You are immune to all effects that require sight of a spell, object, or creature.
-
Suffering Thunder damage forces you to make a Constitution saving throw (DC equals 10 or half the damage you take, whichever number is higher) to not be deafened until your next round.
-
You can't be surprised while you are conscious, unless affected by deafness.
- Other creatures don’t gain advantage on attack rolls against you as a result of being unseen by you
