Practitioners of this style focus on joint locks, arm bars, leg bars, and submission holds.
This unarmed fighting style is only effective against non-heavy armored humanoids and provides the following benefits:
- +2 effective Strength bonus for the purposes of grappling
- Locks and Bars. When the practitioner wins a contest by 5 or more, they manage to execute a joint lock such as an arm bar or leg bar that allows them to inflict 1d6 damage at the beginning of the round while maintaining the hold. When maintaining a hold, the grappler may forgo any extra attacks or bonus attacks to gain ADVANTAGE for maintaining a lock.
- Submissions. On a Natural 20, the practitioner may elect to incapacitate a joint for 1d6 hours or start the suffocating choking process. Suffocation is persisted by maintaining a contest win each round. If the contest win is by 5 or more, they may inflict an additional 1d4 bludgeon damage or reduce the number of rounds the target may hold its breath by 1d4 rounds. An incapacitated limb may be healed by any healing magic.
