The base Elemental Gem begins at uncommon.
for every level higher you boost proportionally the creature by +1 compounding and an extra attack dice.
Example: a Rare Elemental Gem: the Elemental will get a +1 to AC, and extra roll of hp, +1 to all of its attacks, attack rolls, and a +1 to any dc rolls saves. You also add an extra dice so if it is a 2d8+4 at a higher rank it becomes 3d8+5
A Very rare Elemental Gem wil get a +2 to AC and two hp rolls extra.
