You gain proficieny with longbows and shortbows.
When you make an attack with a longbow or shortbow, you can expand one use of this feature to add one of the following effects to the attack:
- Sure Shot: you add +5 to the attack roll, but you don't add your corresponding ability modifier (usually Dexterity) to the damage.
- Quick Shot: you can use your bonus action to make an additional attack immediatly after the triggering attack at a creature within 30 feet of you. If that target is behind half cover or three-quarter cover you have disadvantage on this attack roll.
- Double Shot: you nock 2 arrows (which don't have to be the same type but drawn from the same quiver). Add an additional weapon damage dice when calculating the damage.
- Rapid Shot: you make up to 3 attack rolls against the same target, firing up to 3 arrows. Each attack roll you make this way has disadvantage that can not be removed or cancelled in any way.
- Long Shot: for this attack you do not suffer from the disadvantage due to long range.
You can use this feature a number of times per long rest equal to your proficiency bonus.
