You have been touched by the primal forces of the Elemental Chaos. Determine its appearance and the flaw associated with it. With this curse you gain the ability to bolster yourself with the power of the Elder Elementals. You use an action to grant yourself resistance to all non-physical damage except force, radiant, necrotic, and psychic. This bolstered resistance lasts for 10 minutes or until you take any levels of exhaustion. You may only choose to enter this state once per long rest. You automatically enter this state if you roll a Natural 1 on an attack roll. While bolstered with this elemental power, you gain the following benefits and detriments:
- You grow to be one size larger, and gain advantage on Constitution saving throws.
- If the bolstered elemental power has been invoked, you cannot use your Hit Dice to regain hit points during your next rest.
- If you roll a Natural 1 on any attack roll or ability check, you lose control of yourself, and must use your entire turn attacking creatures within range, at random. You regain control of yourself at the start of your next turn.
- When hit with a Critical Hit, you explode with elemental chaos, taking an additional 1d6 force damage, and all creatures within 15 feet of you also take this damage and must roll of the Sorcerer's Wild Magic Table.
- After entering the bolstered state, you must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC 13) at the end of each of your turns. If you fail this saving throw three times, you lose control of your mind. It takes three successes to stabilize the elemental chaos. You may continue to make the saving throw if control is lost, regaining yourself after achieving three successes in total. If control is lost outside of initiative, than attempts to regain control can only be made once every minute.
Additionally, the curse affects you in more ways at all times.
- If you are ever restored from 0 health or death, the creature that healed you must roll twice on the Wild Magic table.
- You have disadvantage on saving throws to resist being charmed by creatures that are Celestial, Elemental, or Fey.
- Each day, at dawn, you have a 10% chance of spawning a random Elemental creature within 60 feet of you, the CR for which is never more than your level. The spawned creature is instantly hostile to you.
- Once every 1d6 days, you gain access to the Divination spell. The spell contacts a random chief Elder Elemental or a progenitor deity related to your current race. Immediately after the spell ends, you enter the bolstered elemental state.
You also develop a random physical flaw from the Primordial Chaos Flaws table (optional).
