Hypothermia condition:
Your Hypothermia level increases by 1 when:
- You suffer a critical hit from a cold based attack
- You roll a natural one on a saving throw versus a cold based attack
- You fail a frost check saving throw
The table below shows what happens during each level of the Hypothermia condition (effects are cumulative):
| Hypothermia Level |
Condition |
| 1 |
Mild Hypothermia: You are shivering and your teeth are chattering.
- You have disadvantage of stealth checks.
|
| 2 |
Moderate Hypothermia: You are shivering uncontrollably.
- You have disadvantage on all D20 rolls aside from frost checks.
- Your speed is halved
- You have a -2 penalty to your AC and Dexterity saving throws
- You can't use reactions
- On your turn, you can use either an action or a bonus action, not both. Regardless of your abilities or magic items, you can't make more than one melee or ranged attack during your turn.
- If you attempt to cast a spell with a casting time of 1 action, roll a d20. On an 11 or higher, the spell doesn't take effect until your next turn, and you must use your action on that turn to complete the spell. If your can't, the spell is wasted.
