You must already be proficient with a ranged weapon.

• Being within 5 feet of a hostile creature doesn’t impose disadvantage on your ranged attack rolls when you are attacking a creature within 5 feet of you, however your attack is at -2 to hit for each hostile creature within 5 feet of you. When attacking a creature more than 5 feet away while there is a hostile creature within 5 feet of you still has disadvantage, unless you are able to ignore partial cover.
• You can use ranged weapons in either hand and you can draw or stow two ranged weapons in a single turn.
• When you have advantage on an attack with a ranged weapon you may instead attack twice without advantage. This can only be performed once per turn, these attacks cannot perform a critical hit, and both attacks are made at -4 to hit.
