Your encounter in the Abyss has changed your soul. The Demon Lord of this layer has marked blessed you, granting you the following benefits:
- You learn the Summon Greater Demon spell. You can cast this spell without expending a spell slot. Casting the spell this way does not require material components. The only demons you can summon using this feature are: Shadow Demons, Merrenoloths, or Bulezaus. At the end of each of the demon's turns, it makes a Charisma saving throw. If the spell was cast using this feature, then the demon has disadvantage on this saving throw. On a failed save, the demon continues to obey you. On a successful save, your control of the demon ends for the rest of the duration, and the demon spends its turns pursuing and attacking the nearest non-demons to the best of its ability. If you stop concentrating on the spell before it reaches its full duration, an uncontrolled demon doesn't disappear for 1d6 rounds if it still has hit points.
- You have advantage on Persuasion and Deception checks against demons.
- If a Demon falls out of your control after you used this feature to cast the spell, you may use an action to make a Persuasion check to bring the Demon back under your control.
- You can also cast this spells using spell slots you have of the appropriate level, however, you gain none of the previous benefits.
- Each casting of 'Summon Greater Demon' through this feature or normal means changes the caster slightly. After 5 uses, they grow a tail. After 10 uses, they grow horns. After 20 uses, their alignment shifts to Chaotic Evil. If a player uses this feature more than 30 times, their soul is bound for The Abyss. When they die, they are reincarnated as a Cambion, destined to become a Demon Lord of a new layer in the Abyss.
