Destiny Feat: Retaliation

It is the character's destiny to retaliate against a person, organisation or nation. Whether for good or evil, this group acted against the character in an unforgivable way and took something precious that can never be returned. Maybe they killed the character's family, destroyed a cherished family heirloom, or ruined the character's life beyond recovery. Regardless of what they have done, the path laid before the character now puts them in direct confrontation with the chosen target. Whatever the character's final goal in retaliation, it is written in the strands of fate that they will either succeed or die trying.

The target of this destiny must be suitably large or grandiose and difficult to retaliate against with ease. This could be because the target is a secluded island nation far from the campaign, or possibly a huge guild who have leaders the world over. Retaliating against such a foe should be difficult but possible, allowing the retaliator to build up to a crescendo of revenge.

E.g. The Guild of Fallen Stars killed my wife, my retaliation will be calculated and deadly as I burn their rot from every town & city.

Destiny Ability: Vengeful Soul

You may automatically succeed on a Charisma (Intimidation) check or any Saving Throw (no roll required). This does not include Death Saving Throws. You can use this ability once and you regain all uses as below:

Destiny Recharge.

You recharge your Destiny Ability when you succeed at a Charisma (Intimidation) check or an enemy scores a Critical Hit against you. You cannot recharge your Destiny Ability from a test on which you have already used your Destiny Ability.

Abilities.

• You have Advantage on Death Saving Throws.
• Ruthless Retaliator: On your turn, you can activate Ruthless Retaliator to enter a boundless fury as a bonus action. The fury lasts 1 minute. While in the fury when you make a melee weapon attack you gain a bonus to the damage roll equal to your proficiency bonus. In addition, you have resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage. You can activate Ruthless Retaliator a number of times equal to your Wisdom Modifier (minimum 1) and you regain all expended uses on a long rest. Note: While Ruthless Retaliator is active you cannot cast or concentrate on spells.
