Your shell has been modified with a cannon to take in water and send it back out as a blast of scalding steam. When you take the Attack action on your turn, you can replace one of your attacks with a blast of steam in a 5-foot-wide, 30-foot-long line. Each creature in the area must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC = 8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus). On a failed save, the creature takes 1d10 fire damage. On a successful save, it takes half as much damage. Being underwater doesn’t grant resistance against this damage.
This damage increases by 1d10 when you reach 5th level (2d10), 11th level (3d10), and 17th level (4d10).
You can use your Blastortle Cannon once per turn as an action while using your Shell Defense, but it affects a 15-foot cone instead of a line. You cannot otherwise take actions during your shell defense, as normal.
You can use your Blastortle Cannon a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
