Through the increasingly steady casting of your magic, you have learned to use it more passively as a defense mechanism. You gain the following benefits:

• After casting a spell that deals damage, hit or miss, you gain 1 AC. This can be repeated up to three times and fades after a short rest.
• Your Intelligence increases by 1, up to a maximum of 21.
• You gain proficiency in Arcana, if you haven't already. If you already have proficiency in Arcana, you gain expertise.
