Prerequisite: Caster level 1
You are not good at spellcasting when threatened or distracted. You suffer disadvantage on concentration checks made to maintain your concentration on a spell when you take damage.
FLAW. This is a flaw feat. At your DM's discretion, you may take this feat at level 1. If you do, you may also gain a feat, or increase two of ability scores by +1 (or one by +2).

Posted Aug 10, 2019Well, first things first, I love your series of flaw feats. It's awesome. This one might be slightly dangerous, as a caster could take Warcaster to counterbalance this feat AND get a few extra advantages at first level, but all in all great job!

Posted Aug 10, 2019Definitely a thing to be wary of! A lot of the flaws have feats and ways to "counter" their effects.
I see the flaws as a way to incentivise good RP and creating characters with more depth than perfect gods.
As a DM I'd prevent a player from purposely countering their flaw at level 1, because it defeats the purpose of taking a flaw, and feels like them minmaxing instead of creating a cool character.
Definitely valid to take warcaster at L4 though. 4 levels of adventuring is a decent amount of time/experience for an adventurer to learn to begin to overcome their problems.

Posted Aug 10, 2019Yes, a DM ruling could definitely prevent such shenanigans! As I said, truly well done. I'll be asking my DM if I can use these on my character, and so thank you for sharing your work.
