You died. But by some miracle or stroke of luck you managed to crawl back to the living. For accomplishing such a major feat you gain several traits:

• You hear whispering and murmuring from time to time.
• You gain advantage when speaking to spirits or spirit-like creatures.
• Death saving throws have a -X where X is the amount of times you have died.
