Lycanthropy comes in many forms. For some they become wolves, others become bears, but some become gorillas. When you transform you grow up to a foot and are considered large for carrying things. With your DM's discretion, your equipment grows with you, and maybe some of your weapons will be useable. 

In your human form, you gain resistance to non-magical physical damage but venerability to silver, dark vision to 60 feet, advantage on smell-based perception checks,  the ability to speak hadozee, Were-Rage battle protection, and the ability to transform into your gorilla form. 

In gorilla form you grow up to a foot, are considered large for strength-based things, have advantage on Strength checks, have a climbing speed of 40 feet,  and your strength score increases to 20 (if not already 20 or higher)
