You are a lycanthrope in control. Period. When you first choose this feat, choose an animal that's related to your lycanthropy, such as a wolf, a bear, a tiger or a rat. You gain the following benefits, which are general and can be representative of any of the different types of lycanthropy:
- Keen Smell. You have advantage on Wisdom(Perception) checks that rely on smell.
- Friend of the Wilds. You can communicate in a limited manner with animals of the family related to your lycanthropy. They can understand the meaning of your words, though you have no special ability to understand them in return. You have advantage on all Charisma checks you make to influence them.
- Lycanthropy Attack. You can use your bite or your claws (your choice) as a natural weapon, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with it, you deal piercing or slashing damage equal to 1d10 + your Strength modifier, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike.
- Hybrid Form. Once per short rest, as a bonus action, you can temporarily transform into a hybrid form. When you do so, you gain temporary hit points equal to your level and a +1 bonus to your AC for 10 minutes. While transformed this way, you have a climbing speed equal to your walking speed.
- Moonrager. Whenever you are under the ultimate force that governs your transformation, such as the full moon if you are a werewolf, you enter a state of ultimate controlled lycanthropy. For as long as this transformation lasts (for example, the whole night of the full moon), you have immunity to bludgeoning, piercing and slashing damage made with nonsilvered weapons, your size is Large, your Lycanthropy Attack deals double damage, and you have no limited uses for your Hybrid Form.
