Amaranthine Lycanthropy Image

You are now a Lycanthrope.

Whether you completed a trial of bestial blood or you were born with the curse of Lycanthropy, the power of the beast now flows through your veins. This comes with many benefits and drawbacks, which are listed here.

- You are now a shapechanger, and are considered immune to spell effects that would change your shape.

- You gain resistance to both nonmagical and magical slashing, piercing, and bludgeoning damage.

- You gain resistance to Cold, Necrotic, Poison, and Force magical damage.

- You gain a Damage Threshold of 10 against nonmagical slashing, piercing, and bludgeoning damage. You cannot be reduced to 0 hitpoints by nonmagical attacks.

- You gain advantage on saving throws versus Charm and Fear magical effects.

- You gain two new forms, which you may transform into each a number of times per day equal to half your proficiency bonus, rounded down. The change lasts for a number of hours equal to half your level, rounded down. You may transform to any form as an action.

  • Hybrid form - You take on a humanoid, monstrous in between state between your normal form and your animal form. In this form you may speak, cast spells, and take any of your actions as you might normally. In addition, you may make unarmed attacks with 1d6+Strength or Dexterity, whichever you choose, with each hand. If you make a claw attack as an attack action you may also make an additional claw attack as a bonus action. Any unarmed strike you make may inflict Lycanthropy on the target.
  • Beast form - You take on the form of the animal of which you are a Were. You gain the following benefits, depending on your form:
    • Werewolf, Weretiger - Your movement speed increases by 20 feet. You gain a 1d6  + STR or DEX Bite unarmed attack. You have advantage on perception checks using scent. You are a medium creature with a base AC of 13 + your Dexterity modifier. This armor is considered Natural Armor.
    • Wererat, Jackalwere - Your movement speed increases by 40 feet. You gain a 1d4  + STR or DEX Bite unarmed attack. You have advantage on stealth checks, and you gain expertise in perception. You are a small creature with a base AC of 12 + your Dexterity modifier. This armor is considered Natural Armor.
    • Werebear, Wereboar - Your movement speed increases by 10 feet. You gain a 1d8 + STR or DEX Bite unarmed attack. You have advantage on strength checks, strength saving throws and constitution saving throws. You are a large creature with a base AC of 14 + your Dexterity modifier. This armor is considered Natural Armor.

- During a full moon, during times of stress, or at your DM's discretion, you may be forced to change into one of your alternate forms. During a forced change, your alignment becomes Chaotic Evil, and the actions you take during a forced change are remembered in dreams and visions afterwards. You may discuss with your DM the repercussions of this.

- Silver acts as a poison to you. The touch of silver injures you for 1d10 damage each round it is in contact with you. A silver weapon attack ignores all of your resistances, and should a silver weapon critically strike you, you are considered 'vulnerable' to that attack, taking double damage.

- If you are reduced to 0 Hitpoints while in Hybrid or Beast form, your alignment changes to Chaotic Evil. You perceive all who were once allies as threats, and your paranoia overwhelms you. Until a Remove Curse or Greater Restoration spell is cast upon you, you cannot recover on your own.
