On a hit, you can choose to push your body over its limits to inflict 4d4 extra damage at the cost of your own health. You take 1d4 damage as well and the health cost increases by 1d4 with every consecutive use up to 4d4 and is reset with a rage activation.

The damage you suffer from the use of this ability cannot be reduced.
