You have been touched by the power of the Weave, the infinite pattern of arcane energy webbed about the world, and in your interference, the Weave has left its mark on you. Your arcane power now exhibits itself in your physical form, whether its is lightening veining under your skin, smoke forming from your fingertips, an emancipation of your flesh, your chosen mastery of the arcane arts shows itself on your body. With this comes a gift, the power to see the weave and its many threads soaring through the air across the length and breadth of the world.
Arcane Sight: As an action, you can keen your eyes to see the fabric of magic in the Weave and make the threads of magic visible to you for 1 minute. This can be done a number of times equal to your proficiency modifier, and resets on a long rest. While active, you will be able to trace the threads to the nearest Leyline Convergence, a spot where many threads of the Weave have come together to form a nexus point and once spotted, you can perform the Convergence Ritual. Whilst within the radius of a Leyline, Arcane Sight is constantly active and your physical properties of arcane power are amplified.
Convergence Ritual: This ability requires a 10 minutes spellcasting ritual where you may alter the fabric of the magic inherent within a located Leyline. The required check is a Base DC 10 Arcana check, with a further 2 added for every aspect you wish to alter to your needs. In the time the ritual takes place, no other activity, communication or movement can be taken and your senses become null. Any damage taken during the ritual requires a base concentration check to maintain the ritual, if failed, the ritual fails and cannot be attempted by you gain for 24hrs.
Leyline Attunement: To utilize the Leyline, you must have the Arcane Leysight feature, and spend an action to connect to the power, disconnecting from the power also takes an action and once disconnected from it, the adverse effects take place.
Leyline Aspects: Every Leyline has an innate purpose but with the proper meditation and arcane mastery, the aspects of its purpose can be altered through ritual spellcasting and made to suit the needs of it wielders. Be wary, using a Leyline to amplify your power comes at a price and the more power you use, the heavier the price.
Chosen School: Pick one of the schools of base magic, Abjuration, Conjuration, Divination, Enchantment, Evocation, Illusion, Necromancy, and Transmutation. All spells cast within the chosen school of magic will benefit from the Power Surge Aspect of the Leyline. Changing the school adds 2 to the Ritual Arcana DC Check.
Increase/Decrease Power Surge: The Power Surge of the Leyline manipulates the power of spell cast within it but to two levels higher or lower than the base level the Leyline starts at.(Example, a 3rd Level Leyline can be increased to 5th level or decreased to 1st level, or anywhere in-between). The power of wielding a Leyline cannot be contained, spell must be cast at the level of the Power Surge.
When a spell of the appropriate school is cast within the Leyline, it will automatically be cast at the level matching the Power Surge Leyline Level without expending that level of spell slot but rather the original spell slot level.
(Example, cast a 1st level spell in a 5th Level Power Surge Leyline, the spell with function at its 5th level version but only the 1st level spell slot will be consumed.) For a Complete Guide, Consult the Power Surge Table.
Manipulate Radius: The caster conducting the Convergence Ritual may chose to increase/decrease the radius of the Power Surge, with an additional 2 per increase/decrease power radius level added to the Arcana Check needed to complete the Ritual.
