A Master and Arbiter of Death, your connection to the dark hereafter is as real as the void of magic in your chest--a position of singular power and overwhelming responsibility. You gain the following features:
The Undying
Your creature type is undead. You no longer need to eat, sleep or trance; all benefits of long rest are attained on a short rest. In addition, you have advantage on death saving throws; if you die, your body fully regenerates within 1d20 hours with one level of exhaustion.
Your body craves that which it has lost: once a day, you must consume the heart of a sapient, humanoid species or gain one level of exhaustion.
Glimpse Beyond the Veil
When you hit a creature with an attack, you can use this feature to instantly transport the target to the realm of death. The creature disappears and hurtles through a nightmare landscape.
At the end of your next turn, the target returns to the space it previously occupied, or the nearest unoccupied space. The target takes 10d10 psychic damage as it reels from its horrific experience.
Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short rest.
