You have mastered techniques to safeguard an individual, gaining the following benefits:
- Whenever you finish a Long Rest you may designate a creature as your Principle, protecting and guarding them from danger.
- You gain a pool of Guardian Points equal to your Proficiency Bonus. These points refresh after a Long Rest.
- You may choose a Guardian Stance to protect your Principle, conferring special benefits. Once on each of your turns you may change your Guardian Stance (no action required).
- Warding Stance:
- While within 5 ft. of you, your Principle gains advantage on all saving throws if they take the Dodge Action.
- If your Principle takes damage and you are within 5 ft. of them you may spend your reaction and a Guardian Point to intercept the damage, taking it yourself.
- Retaliating Stance:
- Any movement your Principle takes while within 5 ft. of you does not provoke Attacks of Opportunity.
- When a creature makes an Attack or casts a spell targeting your Principle you may use your Reaction and spend a Guardian Point to move up to half your movement speed toward the attacker/caster and make an Attack of Opportunity against them.
- Escorting Stance:
- While within 15 ft. of you, your principle cannot be surprised.
- If you are within 15 ft. of your Principle you may spend a Guardian Point to gain advantage on your Initiative roll.
