Inherited Corvanthropy (Wereraven) Image

Several of your ancestors, possibly your parents, were corvanthropes, more commonly known as wereravens. Because it's inherited, this curse can only be lifted from you with a Wish spell, and then only if you desire it, the exception being if the caster is a demigod or greater. Wereravens are usually kind-hearted with a charitable nature that delights in giving to others. You are attracted to shiny things like normal ravens, but you collect them to give them away. This nature can be resisted by you or destroyed by the influence of others in your life, but it doesn't change that you're a wereraven. You are also inherently friendly and amiable; you make friends easily and invest emotionally in their lives.

The Curse. Under a full moon, your desire to gather shiny baubles and/or new friends becomes nearly unbearable, and you must beat a DC 20 Wisdom check to stop yourself. If you roll a natural 20, you're safe this full moon and next from these urges. If you roll a natural 1, you automatically fail for the next full moon as well. If, under the influence of a full moon, you see someone you don't know wearing something shiny, the DC for this roll becomes 22.

The Benefits. You gain several amazing benefits as a wereraven:

  • Dexterity Score. Your Dexterity score is set to 15 if not already higher.
  • Skill Proficiencies. You are proficient in Wisdom (Perception) skill checks.
  • Resistances. You are resistant to nonmagical bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage from non-silvered sources.
  • Regeneration. You heal an amount of hit points equal to your character level plus your Constitution modifier (minimum 1) at the beginning of each of your turns unless you've been damaged by a silvered weapon, which prevents you from being able to activate this feature until your next turn. If your hit points fall to zero and you don't die outright, you only regain hit points after succeeding on the full three death saving throws unless someone else heals or stabilizes you in the meantime.
  • Shape-changer. Though your ancestors may have been able to assume both a hybrid and raven shape, you can only assume your raven form a number of times per day equal to your proficiency bonus. After resuming your natural form, you must wait at least an hour before polymorphing yourself again.
  • Beak attack (raven form only). You are considered proficient in beak attacks. You get your DEX modifier plus proficiency bonus to hit and do 1 damage. You may not pass on your corvanthropy, so don't worry about it. Your friends are safe. (Darn, right?)
  • Flying speed. You have a 50ft. fly speed when in raven form.
