Requires proficiency with tinker's kit
Hadis is a strange, crystalline substance of unknown origin that is used to power magitek and create minor magical effects. No one is quite sure where it came from, though the leading theories are posted below. It can create small flames or electrical charges, decrease the air temperature, make metal or stone flexible, create low level levitation effects, create magnetic polarity, disinfect wounds, and many other small effects. It's sometimes used in jewelry, or weaved into clothing. Some brave souls have been known to try and weaponize it, integrating it into the striking areas of weapons or using it as ammunition. If you can afford it, the crystal can be shaped and sharpened like metal to create swords... for a hefty price.
Those with this feat are capable of creating and weaponizing trick weapons. Trick Weapons are weapons built to serve a secondary function in combat, such as igniting flames on the blade of a sword. Activating a secondary effect of such weapons expends an attack action. Crafting trick weapons can be a costly endeavor, as Hadis can be an expensive commodity on top of the resources required to work and design the item. These weapons are considered magical for the purpose of damage. Trick Weapons are considered exotic weapons when used by people without this feat.
Potential tricks could include, but are not limited to
- Converting a melee or ranged weapon to another type of melee or ranged weapon
- Converting a melee or ranged weapon to a ranged or melee weapon
- Turning a weapon into something that isn't a weapon, and vice versa. This wouldn't change the weight
- Add elemental damage to a weapon
