Concentrated Magic (Spellcasting)

You master the ability to utilize pure magical energy, gaining the ability to perform a Slice. Performing the Slice takes 1 action, and you must use a spell slot of 3rd level or higher.

• You conjure a razor thin blade of pure magical energy and make a line attack in a 60ft line that is 5ft wide in one of 3 dimensions (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal).

• Any target hit by the Slice takes 3d12 force damage (3rd Level Spell Slot) and must make a Dexterity saving throw against your spell save DC, taking half damage on a successful save.

• If a target is killed, the caster must choose to bisect the body or decapitate the target.

• The Slice deals siege damage and can penetrate through structures and vehicles, up to half the spell's range or 1/4 of the range if the material is stone or stronger.

• The blade stops at the end of the range or when it hits a magical barrier like Wall of Force.

• The caster must have full movement of their arms to perform the somatic portion of the Slice and cannot cast it if their arms are hindered or if they are prone, grappled, or restrained.

• The Slice cannot be cast in a space that cannot accommodate the width of the blade according to the spell's level.

• The Slice can be cast once per Long Rest.

• For each spell level above 3rd the damage increases by 1d12+10 force damage, and the line increases in length and width by 60ft/5ft.

• If cast at 6th level or higher, the target is dismembered if they fall unconscious, and die instantly.
