Lesser Lycanthrope Image

You're a lycanthrope...kind of. Perhaps you inherited a portion of your parent's lycanthropic curse, were only partially cured of your own infection, or even deliberately infected yourself with a controlled strain. Whatever the case, you posses certain benefits of lycanthropy, namely being able to temporarily assume a hybrid form, without suffering the usual loss of control or change of alignment. Determine the nature of your lycanthropy (e.g. werewolf, werebear, etc.) and the appearance of your hybrid form when you acquire this feat. You gain the following benefits:

  • Increase your Strength, Constitution, or Dexterity score by 1, to a maximum of 20.
  • You can assume a hybrid form, temporarily gaining the attributes of a beast, as a bonus action*. You have the following benefits while transformed:
    • You have resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage from nonmagical attacks not made with silvered weapons.
    • You have a +1 bonus to AC, which stacks with armor.
    • You grow deadly fangs and/or claws, represented by a natural weapon that deals slashing damage equal to 1d8 + your Strength modifier. You can choose to use Dexterity instead of Strength for the attack and damage rolls. Starting at 6th level, it counts as magical for the purposes of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage. Those injured by your natural weapon are not in danger of contracting lycanthropy.
    • When you activate your hybrid form, and as a bonus action on subsequent turns while it lasts, you can make an attack with your natural weapon.
    • You have advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing or smell.
  • Once active, you remain in your hybrid form for 1 minute (or indefinitely, while the full moon is in the sky). It ends early if you are knocked unconscious. You can also end the transformation early as a bonus action. After you activate your hybrid form, you can't do so again until you complete a long rest. Starting at 6th level, you regain use of your hybrid form after a short rest. At 11th level, you can use it twice per short rest. At 16 level, you can transform an unlimited number of times.

*If you are a Barbarian, you can activate your hybrid form as part of the bonus action to enter a Rage.
