You use shields not just for protection but also for offense. You can now do the following with shields:
- Shields work as weapons in which you are proficient with the light property. On a hit they deal 1d6 bludgeoning damage.
- If you are wielding two shields, you may benefit from the AC bonus with both shields with the second having a -1 to the AC bonus.
- Additionally, as an action, you can use one of these attacks.
- Shield Shove: R=5ft 1T. The target must make a STR saving throw (DC 8+PB+STR). If they fail you can choose either to push them up to 10ft away or to knock them prone. You can target 2 creatures, impose disadvantage, or choose both effects if you are dual wielding shields.
- Weak Point Whack: R=5ft 1T. Make an attack roll against the target with disadvantage. If you hit, you are able to hit a weak point. Choose either to deal 3d6 BLU damage, or deal 1d6 BLU damage and leave them stunned until the end of their next turn.
- Become Cover: As a bonus action: Gain half cover until the start of your next turn as you cover your body with your shields. Your movement then becomes 0.

Posted Mar 26, 2023Choose both effects refers to the effect on fail. So pushed 10ft and knocked prone.
